Your MP can be your best campaign tool but most people don’t know how to reach them or what they can even do for you.

Have you ever spoken to your local MP?

With the general election just weeks away political parties are drafting their manifestos right now, and leaders like Theresa May have asked MPs for policy suggestions. So, as part of our GE17: Powered by People series, today we’re sharing campaign secrets on winning your MP’s support.

Ben started a petition last year to re-test older drivers after his wife was killed by an elderly driver. Winning the support of his MP was a pivotal moment in his campaign and since then it has been making waves across Parliament. In the video he gives his three tips on getting your MP to amplify your voice.

Whether you’ve started or signed a petition, contact your MP to back the issue you care about and put it in their party manifestos. Click this link to find out who your MP is and then watch Ben’s video for an insight into how to get your MP’s backing.

It’s your MP’s job to represent you and at Change.org we see MPs providing invaluable support to campaigns everyday. We hope these tips help you make change.
