GE17: Powered by People

13 million. 1 in 5 of the UK population. That’s how many of you have been using Change.org to have your voice heard. And now with an election in just a few weeks, politicians up and down the country will be clamouring to hear what you think.

From young people like A-level student Owen Winter who is campaigning for a fairer voting system, to Mancunian mum Joeli Brearley who wants better rights for pregnant women or school teacher Michael Walker who’s calling for Theresa May to agree to an election TV debate.

This is your election, and we are here to make sure that the issues you’re talking about at the dinner table are heard by those standing to represent you.

Before sites like Change.org existed, it was harder for anyone but the most powerful to be heard across the country. Now, if you have access to the internet, you can be on a level playing field with the most powerful people in the country. unnamed

In the few next weeks:

– We’ll skill you up with campaigning tips used by people who have won some of the biggest Change.org campaigns

– Give you the technical know-how on making the most of internet tools available

– Provide the information you need to cut through jargon and political spin

For the next 48 days, armed with your passion and your voice, we’ll give you the tools so that you are just as powerful as the politicians and biggest campaigning organisations out there.

And remember — change doesn’t just happen during an election. Our platform will help you speak up before, during and after this election. So don’t be put off by political spin and Brexit jargon – just think about the issues you are most passionate about and start by writing your petition.
