SPORT: Thousands of football fans call for Aaron Ramsey’s yellow card to be overturned

Wales fans are pleading with Uefa to overturn Aaron Ramsey’s Euro 2016 suspension to play in the Euro 2016 semi-final.

Wales are due to meet Portugal in the semi-finals of Euro 2016 in Lyon tomorrow (July 6).

But Arsenal maestro Ramsey, 25, picked up his second yellow of the tournament against Belgium and will be forced to watch from the sidelines.

Ramsey has been one of the stars of the Euros with four assists and a goal in five games.

Petition starter, Joe Williams is making attempts to to get Ramsey back in the game.

Writing on his petition he said: ‘This petition is for the yellow card unjustly given to Welsh footballer Aaron Ramsey to be overturned by the European football governing body Uefa, in order to allow him to play in the Uefa Euro 2016 Semi-Final Wales v Portugal 6th July 2016.’
